All About The Great (young travelers) Smoky Mountains

By Rachel Yoshida

The Great Smoky Mountains National Park is in Tennessee. It is over a half a million acres of forest and wonderful wildlife. It has mountains that typically range up to 6,000 feet high. The park has tours to take visitors through the park and to tell you what is in it.

There are a lot of mountains that will amaze you on how high they are. There’s one that is almost 6,600 feet high. That particular mountain is called Mount Le Conte, which lies just east of Mississippi. This is the tallest mountain in the park. Many people like to see this mountain. The park is good for hiking, climbing, or just walking in the park to see the sights and enjoy nature. Going into Alum Cave will bring you straight on through to Clingman’s Dome, which is the highest peak in the park. From this peak, you are able to see the wonderful and spectacular views of the forest in the park. This peak is about 50 feet high.

There are 70 miles of trails and 850 miles of roads that are unpaved. These trails take you to Chimney tops and Laurel Falls. These falls have 80 feet drops that you don’t ever want to fall into. You must have a travel guide with you when you go there. There are other things to do to have fun, such as bike riding, horseback riding, and fishing. Because there are over 700 hundred miles of streams, you can set up camp at a site by the water and catch rainbow fish and trout. It is a good place to sit back, relax, and enjoy a good book while waiting for the fish to snag your line.

If you decide to climb up the mountains, then only do so if you are a very experienced climber. Climbing mountains is a serious thing because it takes just one wrong move to fall and injure yourself very badly. Hiking is very good exercise because it strengthens your muscles and tones your body. If you are biking, you have to watch for deep holes and watch your speed when you go down long hills.

Sometimes, you can see a beautiful array of colors from the rainbows that appear from the falls. There are many, many wildlife animals that reside in the park, such as bears, raccoons, rabbits, snakes, white- tailed dear, different types of birds and much more. The park is for your enjoyment, whether for leisure or for educational purposes! There are so many things to do. You can’t do everything in one day.

Why Life Insurance Is So Important
By Peter Kenny

There are many different types of insurance cover that are designed to protect us, our loved ones, and even our belongings these days, and the insurance industry makes a fortune from consumers that are keen to try and cover every eventuality when it comes to finances. One hugely popular type of insurance cover is known as life insurance, and the purpose of this type of cover is to provide peace of mind and protection for the family of the policyholder in the event that the policyholder dies unexpectedly during the term of the policy. If the policyholder passes away due to a reason other than those listed as exclusions in the policy then the family or beneficiary will receive a lump sum payment.

Life insurance is particularly important if the policyholder is also one of the main income earners, and this is because the death would not only mean grief for those left behind, but would also mean the loss of a main income, which could otherwise result in those left behind being unable to cope financially. This is turn could lead to real financial hardship, and could even result in the family losing the home due to being unable to keep up with repayments.

There are a number of options available when it comes to getting life insurance cover, and the two main types of cover are term life insurance and whole of life insurance. The first one is the cheaper option, and there are some very competitive deals on offer with term cover. As the name suggests this form of cover provides protection for a specified term, which is often fifteen years. Once the term expires you are no longer covered and your payments will cease. You will then need to look at taking out cover again. Often people opt for this type of cover because it is the cheaper option and very straightforward.

Whole of life cover will suit those who are able to pay a little more to enjoy the increased security of having cover in place for the whole of their lives. However, this type of cover is more expensive, and therefore you will need to determine whether you can afford the additional premiums in order for the extra level of cover. Whole of life cover is also available with an investment element, and like term cover there are a number of exclusions so you should ensure that you read the small print carefully before you make any commitment.

There are a number of things that you need to bear in mind when you are looking for any type of life insurance cover. The first is to ensure that you take out an adequate level of cover, as the payout will need to provide financial stability to those left behind and therefore needs to be for an adequate amount. Also, remember that the cost of cover can vary from one provider to another, so make sure that you compare different policies from a range of providers to get the best deal at an affordable price.

Treasures In The Water Amount To Billions In Cash And Gold
By Rachel Yoshida

There has always been an appeal for many people who dream of looking for treasures in the water of the oceans. These dreamed of treasures are all too real and have been the pursuit of many. The majority of the sunken treasures that have been sought after and discovered by these avid searchers are found in ships that were sunk many, many years ago.

During the 16th, 17th, and 18th centuries, sear faring vessels were common and often would not make it to their desired destination because of terrible storms or when their ships became unstable. This is why many of their valuable cargoes ended up at the bottom of the sea somewhere.

Many of these ship wrecks and disappearances were recorded through out history. The El Dorado was one of thirty two caravels that sailed from Santa Domingo in 1502. They ran into hurricane winds and twenty seven or the caravels, among them the El Dorado were wither swamped by water and sank or were destroyed crashing against the rocks of Santo Domingo, Puerto Rico, and the Mona islands.

The treasure consisted of gold, pearls, and a solid gold table that was to be a gift to the Catholic Kings from a man named Bobadilla as a reward for his appointment as Governor. Some of the ships treasures were reclaimed from those that were crashed against the coastline, but the El Dorado might never be.

In 1511 the Flor De LA Mar wrecked off the northern coast of Sumatra after the Admiral of the ship and his men raided the ancient kingdom of Malacca or present day Malaysia, when the sultan denied them permission to trade there. The amount of treasure that was looted from this kingdom consisted of diamonds, sapphires, rubies, emeralds, coins, and all sorts of artifacts. This treasure was estimated at between 1 and a half to 3 billion dollars today.

Just from these two examples alone it is entirely understandable why so many have the dream of finding and recovering sunken treasure from ships that went down so long ago. If a person only found one of the thousands of wrecks that are scattered all over the world, how rich could they become?

Even with the treasure aside, these fortune hunters are also in love with the thrill of the adventure that hunting down such booty entails. Some of these treasure hunters search off and on all their life for a find and never do, but they probably would not trade the time spent looking for anything else.
